Geopark Ranah Minang Silokek is located in Jorong Tanjung Medan, Nagari Silokek, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. This geopark area is quite broad, because it covers more than 1,300 km² and is located in 2 sub-districts, namely Sijunjung and Sumpur Kudus districts. Inaugurated as a Geopark on February 8, 2018 and officially holds the status as a National Geopark (earth park area), starting on Friday (30/11/2018). until now it is still being addressed. Geopark Ranah Minang Silokek has geological advantages, has a traditional village, has a Rajo Ibadat museum and library, there is another Biology Center located in the Paru area.
